A sexy must read!
This story was cute, sexy, and so much fun to read!!!
Dex and Jamie were perfect for each other. He definitely needed a heroine who wouldn’t take any of his crap, and she definitely fell in to that category. Their fights were beyond entertaining, and seeing their relationship grow, and Dex grow as a person, was awesome. Add in some awesome relatives, and you will be laughing through the entire book. This is definitely a must read!!!
Fun and easy read!

This book was full of laughs and passion. I gave it four stars due to the fact that the book was shorter than I would have liked and lacked a pull for me to really be in the moment with the characters. Usually I can get so lost in a story and forget about the world...this book just didn’t keep me. But the authors writing style is super! I would read another book by this author.
Fun, flirty, and lots of dirty...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K
Fun, flirty, and lots of dirty…Miss Mechanic brings sexual tension to a whole new level with humor and plenty of heat…
Emma Hart delivers another incredible hit with Miss Mechanic! As with every other book by Ms. Hart that I have had the pleasure to read, she injects humor and fun into every inch of the storyline. Sure, there may be moments of tension or angst, but the majority of the time it is a whole lot of fun and sexual tension. An intriguing plot and storyline, capped off with outstanding execution and overall writing brings Miss Mechanic up to the level we expect from Emma Hart. The characters are fantastic! They bring to life the essence of the story, with their wit, playful and emotionally charged banter, and their passion. Each character had a depth and soul all their own, a personality that you can’t help but love, and a truth that opens you up. If you wanna get a little dirty this Christmas, Miss Mechanic is the perfect read for you!
Another Emma Hart RomCom Hit!
Like every Emma Hart Book I’ve read, I loved!! Dex and Jamie are so hot, they’re fire!! They’re both so sassy and snarky to each other but you just know it’s one hell of a foreplay buildup.
And Dex’s great aunt is awesome! She’s sassy and a pusher and just so fun. Actually, all of Dex’s family is. From his sister who torments him, to her daughter who calls him out. Dex can’t get away with anything and I love that about his character. He is a total pushover for the women in his life, even as he pretends not to be.
Jamie is sass personified. There is no other way to put it. She is almost too cocky and snarky when she interviews for a mechanic job with Dex. But her arrogance just makes her that much better.
Although I think Dex was my favorite character... Or maybe Charley.
Enemies To Lovers Done Right
I was equipped. I was ready. I'd lived my life with a refusal to make anyone make me feel like I was worth less than I knew I was, and I wasn't going to change that now.
Jamie Bell knows cars better than people some days. She knows her way around a garage, too, and can use a wrench like nobody's business. So, when a position comes open in what used to be her family's auto repair shop, why wouldn't she apply? Two words...Dexter Ryne. Dex has a place for Jamie at the shop, all right, and it's answering phones and greeting customers. What does she have to say to that? Oh, heck, no, that's what. And so another great love story begins...
Emma Hart can write a romantic comedy like nobody's business. The sass, the snark, the self-confidence, these are the heroines that make her stories sing. And, when you pair them with the men that will (at least eventually) love them as they are, it's matches made in, well, let's just say that they work.
I love books that, along with some steamy sexy times, makes me laugh out loud, because if you're not having fun, you're not doing it right. Emma has done it right with Jamie and Dex, because they make everything about the enemy to lover thing work, and it's a hoot to read their story.
I don't think that Emma's written a thing that I don't love, because each and every book is infused with her sense of humor, tongue firmly in cheek, and her signature sass and sparkle. MISS MECHANIC hits the mark in every way, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. An easy 4.5 stars for this book, it's a must-read for Emma's fans, and lovers of rom-coms peopled with strong women and the men that love them.
Dex & Jamie <3
By Elizabeth Thiele
Oh this book was wonderful!!! Emma Hart has done it again with a story of overcoming obstacles and proving that woman can do anything men can do, sometimes even do it better!!!
Jamie is quick witted, sarcastic, opinionated and kind. She is a hard worker and loves what she does, but no one takes her seriously and that’s because she is a mechanic. Jamie is out to prove men wrong and when she meets Dex, it becomes more than just proving herself, it becomes a game that neither of them thought they would lose; their hearts.
Dex is an @$$hole with a big heart. He loves deeply but sometimes his confidence turns to the side of arrogance. His family is absolutely hilarious and Charley was the best kid!!! I am definitely stealing some of her phrases!! Dex is definitely a little closed minded when it comes to Jamie being a mechanic but he can’t deny his feelings for her and she proves him wrong in the women can’t be in the garage department.
Dex & Jamie have a very passionate relationship; whether they are arguing or doing other things, they are all in. It was nice that this book wasn’t just they meet, so the dirty then the end, no, they got to know each other and I think that helped with building up their characters and the story. Emma Hart really knows how to write a book that will have you feeling all sorts of emotions and this one was no different!! I am so excited for what she comes out with next!!!
Enemies to lovers goodness!
Emma Hart brings us a slow-burning, enemies-to-lovers romance that you'll love.
Jamie's an out of work mechainc after her family's auto shop is sold. Dex's family is the one who bought the auto shop and he is in need of an employee. When Jamie applies for the job, she doesn't have high hopes. She's been turned down for jobs she's overly qualified for in the past purely because she is a female. When she and Dex meet it is instant dislike on both their parts, but when he offers her trial employement, even with his reservations that she is female, they slow, oh so slowly change their opinions of each other.
The thing about Emma Hart's books that work is that they are simple and straightforward without a lot of extra. She also writes great secondary characters. There isn't anything particularly groundbreaking with this book, which I feel is what really makes it work. There isn't a scandal or a big secret. It is simply two people who hate each other in the beginning finally recognizing something in the other. Plus, there is Charley, Dex's precocious, seven-year-old niece who uses creative curse word replacements and tells it straight!
I think you'll really enjoy this new standalone romance from Emma Hart!
So much humor and sexual tension
By Amanda Koziczkowski
Dex and Jamie butt heads like nobody's business! They are both really sarcastic and love to pick at each other. Their sexual tension is crazy high. Despite what they may think they match together very nicely. Their banter is a lot of fun and their families are a hoot too! It was a very entertaining read.
Review: Miss Mechanic
Miss Mechanic by Emma Hart is a standalone romance told in dual POV. Snarky humor, confident heroine, hot alpha hero, and the battleground is a garage.
Dexter Ryne's family purchased the garage from Jamie's family. Dexter and Jamie had never met until she applied for a job at the very same garage she grew up in. In need of employment and finding everywhere else to sexually backwards to believe in her skills as a female mechanic, applying at "Ryne Garage" is her last ditch effort. To say her interview went well would be a gross misuse of the truth...
Jamie Bell is Dexter's worst nightmare. She is snarky, challenging, a little bit ridiculous when it comes to self-confidence and devastatingly beautiful. Worst. Nightmare. Agreeing to give her three weeks to prove herself seemed like a genius idea, at first. But between their inability to interact without fighting, her beautiful long legs, AND the fact that she is every bit as skilled the mechanic a she originally claimed he finds himself crossing the line...
Well-written and well-paced, I found this to be yet another entertaining and enjoyable read from Emma. Definitely on the light-hearted end of the romance spectrum, small town setting, interesting secondary characters from the astute & precocious seven-year-old niece to the crazy grandparent and even crazier great aunt and then back to the meddlesome sister, and that is just on Dexter's side of the family. Loved this. Enjoy!
Gender Bending at it finest
Miss Mechanic is my favorite Emma Hart book to date. Full of laughter, feels and what its like being a woman in a male dominated field. Ms. Hart crafted everything so perfectly, and in a way that I could relate too, especially knowing a few women mechanics, and what they have been through to be successful in their field.
I absolutely loved Miss Mechanic. The characters are real, the story is funny, but gets serious when needed. The chemistry and heat between the characters is OFF THE CHARTS. I would consider this a must read and a fabulous introduction to Emma Hart's work, if you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing one of her books.
